AWIS congratulates new Chief Science Advisor

The Association for Women in the Sciences is excited by the appointment of Professor Juliet Gerrard as the new Chief Science Advisor to the Prime Minister.

AWIS believes that the appointment of a female Chief Science Advisor demonstrates New Zealand’s commitment to gender equality in the sciences and recognition of the importance of a diverse community working in science for the betterment of New Zealand.
