My Story
I moved to NZ from Zimbabwe during high school and re-discovered a fascination for biology. I started working in analytical laboratories from my second year of uni, and still love the lab management aspect of science. I wanted to be a forensic scientist when I graduated, and I spent eight years working at ESR in the forensic labs, which was extremely interesting. I moved to the University of Auckland in 2014 and I got to help upcoming young Anthropology researchers achieve their goals, as well as constantly learning new things, which I found very rewarding. Now I work in the Faculty of Engineering, managing our initiatives to encourage more young women to consider a career in Engineering.
